Covid-19 Guidelines
As per the World Health Organization(WHO), COVID-19 pandemic is to stay longer than people thought and we have to learn how to live with it. For that reason, Kenya has set guidelines on how to live with and handle COVID-19.
It is safe to travel to Kenya amidst the Covid-19. This is because Kenya has been authorised to use the “World Travel and Tourism Council(WTTC) “Safe Travel Stamp”. Kenya has managed to adopt global COVID-19 health standardized protocols. Kenya has been recognized as a viable safari holiday
destination, as it is implementing health and safety protocols.
The COVID-19 health and safety protocols we have put in place :-
- All our staff have valid covid-19 free certification, not more than 14 days old issued by an approved health government facility as per the requirements outlined by the Ministry of Health.
- We have provided approved facemasks, hand sanitizers/hand washing facility with running water and soap at all locations which are used by our staff/visitors.
- We have provided contactless thermometer for body temperature check at the entrance for both staff and visitors.
- We have documented Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for guest Management line with these preventive guidelines as appropriate. protocols and MOH Covid-19.
- We have provided visible notices/signages and other sensitization information at the strategic locations/entrance on Covid-19 preventive measures, screening, frequent hand washing and sanitization and mandatory wearing of face masks.
- We have a Guest/visitors register shall be kept and updated daily and include mobile contact & physical address for ease in contact tracing. – We have Integrated technologies to enable automation, such as online payment and discourage cash payments.
- We always encourage online safari booking payments and we have put this in place.
- We will ensure that all our safari vehicles are properly cleaned and sanitized during and after each trip/ transfer especially on handles, doors, seats etc.
- We have provided internal training to our driver/ guides on how to follow the COVID-19 protocols, and how to behave when they are interacting with our guests.
- During a safari, we shall ensure that we are always in touch with our tour/ driver guides.
- We will Maintain an appropriate and reliable list of emergency contacts for rapid assistance in case of health and safety-related instances.
- Our vehicles will a capacity that ensures there is enough social distancing.
- We will encourage more on private safaris to minimize exposure to other guests.
- We shall use lodges & Tented camps for accommodation which have adhered to Covid-19 protocols & guidelines.
