Thanks to Daphne Sheldrick who spent three decades to come up with milk formula that would sustain every new rescued calf until it gets to a level where it needs milk no more. The trust has delivered back many heads of elephants to Tsavo when they are around ten years or when they feel ready to be independent be wild again and most probably put up with the family it new from the beginning. It is all of the work of the Sheldrick family and the care givers who become so close to them.
