If you are in Nairobi City and probably have a day to spare for a day trip, then a Kenya Nairobi Safari day tour is the solution for you. There are many great places you can go to and enjoy a whole day watching wildlife, playing with them and even taking all the photos you want.

The Giraffe Centre

The Giraffe centre specifically breeds Rothschild giraffe which is an endangered species in Kenya. Its work is mainly on conservation and it is a non profit organization. The organization freely gives education to children and the youth on conservation matters. It undertakes ecology trips, workshops and other environmental conservation activities. Your visiting entrance fee helps in the upkeep of the centre.

David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

Every time a visitor decides to go see the young orphaned elephants, he/she becomes a reason why the organization has a chance to keep rescuing more and more elephants and rhinos as well as other animals. Thanks to Daphne Sheldrick who spent three decades to come up with milk formula that would sustain every new rescued calf until it gets to a level where it needs milk no more. The trust has delivered back many heads of elephants to Tsavo when they are around ten years or when they feel ready to be independent be wild again and most probably put up with the family it new from the beginning. It is all of the work of the Sheldrick family and the care givers who become so close to them. You can go with a mission to sponsor an orphan and enjoy all the benefits that go along with being a guardian. This trust is located within the Nairobi National Park.

Nairobi National Park

This park is the pride of Nairobi. It is located at the outskirts of Nairobi. Nairobi skyscrapers can be seen from the park. You can have photos or videos of animals posing in-front of magnificent skyscrapers to share with your family, friends and the world. The park has all the big five as well as a number of wildebeests that migrate seasonally depending on the weather. Nairobi National Park is a great way to get the feeling of a wildlife safari in the midst of a busy big city.

Historic Site – Karen Blixen Museum

Karen Blixen once lived in this house which became a museum in 1912 together with her husband who left her in 1921 after their marriage failed. The husband left Karen to run the museum and it has become one of the most famous attractions in Nairobi. After the release of the movie “Out of Africa” this place is a great museum to visit and enjoy the history behind Kenya. The museum runs every day and people visit to see the movie and other African stuff.
